Integrative Massage is the approach of treating the body as a whole not just the symptomatic areas of pain and physical dysfunction; but working on all of the factors which can lead to physical dysfunction integrating conventional therapeutic massage, complimentary therapies and alternative therapies.
Each treatment is outcome based to aid in relief of pain and treatment of soft-tissue dysfunction/injury caused by lifestyle factors, repetitive strain, occupation, illness, sports , trauma and stress.
Treatments are tailored to meet your individual unique needs and will consist of an interview, assessment, hands-on treatment, and homecare plan.
Craniosacral Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Hot Stones are included in most massage treatments creating a powerful partnership for healing.
- Infants to Seniors
- Pre & Post Natal
- Corporate Wellness
- Addictions Recovery
- PTSD, Stress, Anxiety
- Concussion, TBI

Techniques used include
- Swedish techniques
- Deep Tissue
- TriggerPoint & Neuromuscular Therapy
- MyoFascial Release
- Active Release
- Facilitated Stretching
Conditions treated with massage include but not limited to:
- chronic pain
- low back pain, neck pain

Silicone Cups are used to suction soft tissue, and it is this vacuum effect, or negative pressure, combined with dynamic movement that produces a therapeutic result.
Therapists use the cups to distract congested tissue, release trigger point and myofascial restrictions, to reduce pain and stiffness, and reduce scar tissue.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.
Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system.
CST is effective for a wide range of medical conditions and injuries ranging from:
- Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury
- Migraines and Headaches
- Chronic Neck and Back Pain
- Stress and Tension-Related Disorders
- Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
- Chronic Fatigue
- TMJ Syndrome
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders,
orthopaedic dysfunction and more.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage addresses body fluid systems: lymph, interstitial fluid and synovial fluid.
It is an excellent modality for reducing swelling inflammation, edemas, stimulating the immune system, improving circulation, surgery preparation/recovery and aiding the body in its own natural detoxification process.
Headaches, allergies, sinus pain and congestions, pregnancy, swelling from injuries, TMJ pain, Fibromyalgi, cosmetic surgery and more.
The slow, repetitive, rhythmic nature of these techniques also decreases pain perception and the effects in the sympathetic nervous system.
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a rhythmic, light pressure technique that follows the drainage pathways of the body’s lymphatic system.
Hot Stone Therapy in massage treatments uses heat therapy and Basalt Stones, both as a static application and actively during the massage treatment, to ease muscle tension and stiffness, and increase circulation and metabolism. Hot stone therapy promotes deeper muscle relaxation.
Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing experience.
Hot stone therapy:
● Provides relief from pain associated with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other chronic conditions which can also be exacerbated by the cold weather
● Decreases pain and muscle spasms
● Reduces chronic stress and tension
● Increases flexibility in joints, aiding in easier mobility and movement
● Relieves pain and tension created by strained and contracted muscles
● Provides a more efficient deep tissue massage
● Increases the parasympathetic effect of massage, making it more ‘relaxing’
Therapists have an informed understanding of the side effects of cancer treatments, such as medications, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation; and the ability to modify massage techniques in order to adapt for these side effects, as well as for the disease.
Oncology massage is the modification of massage techniques in order to safely work with effects of cancer and cancer treatment, and includes people in active treatment, those in recovery or survivorship, as well as those at the end of life.
Lymphedema is a possible side effect of cancer and cancer treatments with damage to the lympatic system.
The goal of therapy is to reduce swelling, manage your lymphedema and reduce your risk of it getting worse and leading to other health problems.
Your certified lymphedema therapist will guide you through the treatment program and show you how to control your lymphedema with self care.
What our patients & clients are saying
What our patients & clients are saying
For the last 2 years I have been a patient cared for by Allison McGrath. I came to Allison for massage treatments after I had a double mastectomy. As part of the surgery, my lymph nodes were removed under my right arm and due to this.
Allison assisted me during this time by manually draining the lymph. She also fitted me with an arm compression garment.
Massage treatments were so important after my surgery as I also had chest scaring and the massage I received from Allison helped to prevent the possibility of lymphedema.
During this 2 year period, Allison took extra training in ways to treat my condition and other patients in her care.
I do not believe that I would have recovered from my cancer surgery as well as I did without Allison. She will be truly missed as my Therapist. She was always professional and caring by nature and for those reasons and others, I would refer her to anyone.
